From this old font archive we choose an Aldine Biljet font, a Bodoni-esque italic font which has an illustrative character. After the fonts have been pressed on a piece of paper, we scanned and digitalized the artwork. For upcoming illustrative photographer Simone Hoang, we selected the letters ‘s & h’ for her logo and branding. The two font match perfectly together for branding purposes. The identity has been designed under the influence of a letterpress image. The fonts are showing their ‘sign of use’, which clarifies that these fonts are original. For branding design we choose brown carton and off white paper with a lot of relief. The identity uses stamps and the letterpress. To make sure that we could use the font designs for multiple  pressing purposes, the fonts have been laser cut in perspex and placed on MDF.
